The Ieteren Porsche 356 Bt5 Roadster <\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Historically, the Porsche 356 was the first sports car manufactured and marketed by Porsche. Designed by Ferry Porsche using Volkswagen's mechanical underpinnings and styled by Erwin Komenda, it would be mass-produced from 1948 to 1965. Technically, it is a unibody with four-wheel independent suspension and a rear-mounted flat-four engine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Originally the 356 was available as a coup\u00e9 and cabriolet, and then at Hoffmann's request, a Speedster version was created in 1954. For the 1960 model year, Porsche modernised its 356 with the introduction of the 356 B model, like the one presented here. Taking over from the legendary Speedster, the Roadster adopted the same formula with the advantages of the 1600 cm\u00b3 engine in its S configuration. Among the various coachbuilders who manufactured the Roadster, D\u2019Ieteren is the rarest. Indeed, out of the 2900 356 Roadsters built, only 473 were made by D\u2019Ieteren fr\u00e8res in Belgium. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
