The story of Talbot is that of a car marque that has spanned the ages, experiencing both glory and decline, but continues to fascinate automotive enthusiasts. 

The Talbot brand is a name that evokes luxury, elegance and performance. The brand will be offered in several models, all very luxurious, prestigious and winners of major races.

From 1946, Anthony Lago developed a high-powered car, the T26 type, with a 4.5-litre 6-cylinder engine. With minor modifications, it was available as a single-seater or two-seater: the T26C won the 1949 Belgian Grand Prix (driven by Louis Rosier) and the 1949 Grand Prix de l’ACF (Louis Chiron). The T26 Grand Sport won the 1950 24 Hours of Le Mans at the hands of Louis Rosier. This T26 GS chassis was also clothed by the greatest Parisian and international coachbuilders, and that is our focus here.

We are offering for sale a unique example of a T26: a special order that took 8,000 hours of work to complete: a T26 convertible recreated in the pre-war style of the extraordinary luxury coachbuilder named Figoni Falaschi.

It was not uncommon at the time for wealthy people to change their car's bodywork. The work was carried out by the Ateliers de Touraine, presided over by Mr. Patrick Delage.
