The Ferrari 275 Gtb V12 Aluminium

The Ferrari 275 GTB is considered one of the most beautiful Ferraris in history.

It was launched in 1964 as a replacement for the Ferrari 250 Gt Lusso, a more spacious and luxurious evolution of the Ferrari 250 Berlinetta Swb that appeared in 1959. 

Presented at the Paris Motor Show, its bodywork, designed by Pininfarina, taking on certain characteristics of the Ferrari 250 GTO such as the silhouette defined around a long bonnet housing the engine and a set-back cabin, the side air vents, or the steeply raked rear, met with immediate success. 

Production was entrusted to Carrozzeria Scaglietti, who used aluminium and not steel for the doors, bonnet and boot lid. Some examples, the rarest and most sought-after, were even built entirely out of aluminium.

The 1966 example we are offering for sale is precisely one of the examples built in aluminium. Long nose, alloy body, it is also equipped with 3 Weber carburettors and not 6, which makes it an absolute rarity. Only 42 examples in the world are in the Long Nose Alloy configuration; among these, very few have 3 Weber carburettors, certainly very, very few... 

Restored in a highly renowned workshop, inspected by Piero Ferrari's personal chief mechanic, our example, with its impeccable history, deserves to be considered one of the greatest Ferraris ever built.
