The Porsche Carrera Gt V10

The Type 980, built from 2003 onwards, already revealed through its build that its genes originated from motorsport. 

While its design certainly allowed for its aesthetic lineage to be recognised with the production vehicles, it primarily linked it to legendary Porsche competition models, thereby continuing the mythic GT1.

The Carrera GT, produced in an exclusive series of 1,270 units, was equipped with a ten-cylinder engine with dry-sump lubrication. The displacement of the naturally aspirated 5.5-litre V10 engine, designed primarily for track use, was increased to 5.7 litres for this series.

With a power output of 612 bhp / 450 kW at 8,000 rpm and a top speed of 330 km/h, the Carrera GT redefined the standards of the era. 

Its chassis, its design in itself, represents the second part of an extraordinary technical feat carried out by Porsche engineers.
