The Ferrari 296 Gtb V6
The new 2021 Ferrari is named the «296 GTB», «29» for the cubic capacity, «6» for the number of cylinders, and «GTB» for the gearbox. Gran Turismo Berlinetta, or code name Project F171during its development.
It is presented on June 24, 2021 and represents the return of a Ferrari with a central V6 engine, after the Dino 246 produced from 1969 to 1973 by Pininfarina.
It is the brand’s second hybrid vehicle and the first to be equipped with a rechargeable gasoline V6 hybrid engine, following the SF90 Stradale, which features a rechargeable V8 hybrid powertrain.
The Ferrari 296 GTB is equipped with the manufacturer’s F163 engine, a 2.9 L V6 turbocharged engine with cylinders and turbines positioned at 120° inside the V, delivering 663 hp (at 8,000 rpm), which is coupled to an electric motor with a power of 167 hp. That is 830 hp.
The combined torque is 900 N m. Its total power is 830 hp. Its specific power of 221 hp/l is the highest for a production car.
Its performance is breathtaking: 0 to 100 in 2.6 seconds, 0 to 200 in 7.3 seconds, 330 km/h at top speed.
Our example, heavily equipped with options, is almost new: it has less than 600 real kilometers on the clock.
