The Ferrari F12 V12

The first photos of the Ferrari F12 are unveiled on February 29, 2012. It is presented at the 82nd Geneva International Motor Show on March 6 of the same year. 

A worthy heir to the lineage of front-engined V12 Ferrari GTs, it succeeds the 599 GTB, itself the heir to the highly coveted 550 Maranello. 

This technological marvel, derived from Formula 1, is also powered by a V12 engine descended from the mythical FXX. Developing 740 hp, its fabulous V12 allows it to reach 60 mph in just 3.1 seconds and grants it a top speed of 214 mph. The whole package rests on an all-aluminium chassis suspended by a new magnetic suspension system, providing incredible grip thanks to an ideal weight distribution.

As with all the GTs designed by the brand, comfort, sportiness, elegance and refinement are found both inside and out. This GT is extreme and very versatile, its lines are exceptional and its performance is breathtaking. 

In 2014, designer Flavio Manzoni, Senior Vice President of Design at Ferrari, received the Compasso d’Oro award, a prestigious international recognition in the world of design, for the combination of technology and design in the F12 Berlinetta.

The F12 example presented here for sale, dating from January 2013, is truly exceptional with only 8,338 kilometres on the clock.
